Saudi-US Summit held in Riyadh
May 14, Kathmandu: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday co-chaired the Saudi-US Summit at Al-Yamamah Palace, advancing bilateral relations.
They signed a Strategic Economic Partnership and oversaw agreements on energy, with Saudi Arabia’s Energy Ministry and the U.S. Department of Energy, and defence modernisation between the Saudi and U.S. Defence Ministries, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Further deals included cooperation in mining, judicial affairs, space exploration, and medical research on infectious diseases. A key agreement saw the Saudi Space Agency and NASA join forces for the Artemis II Mission’s Space Weather CubeSat.
Talks also covered regional stability and global concerns. The summit highlights both nations’ commitment to expanding collaboration across multiple sectors, reinforcing their strategic alliance.
