President Paudel performs worship at lhakhang of Bouddha
May 12, Kathmandu: President Ramchandra Paudel and his spouse Sabita Paudel conducted worship at the lhakhang of Bouddha in the capital Kathmandu, on the occasion of the 2569th Buddha Jayanti on Monday morning.
They worshipped the Lord Buddha, went around the Bouddha Stupa, and had a sight of invaluable remains of Lord Buddha known as astudhatu.
The Buddhist devotees have thronged the monasteries in Bouddha since early morning. 
Buddha Jayanti is celebrated with veneration at various Buddhist shrines like Lumbini, Bouddha, Swayambhu, Namo Buddha and other Buddhist religious places across the country today.
