Employment programme for uplift of backward community

Janakpurdham, April 30: Various employment-generating programs have been implemented for the uplift of the backward community of the five local levels in Dhanusha.

Plan International Nepal has provided education, healthcare as well and skill-based training. Bideh, Shahid, Kamala, Sabla municipalities and Janaknandani rural municipalities have spent Rs 49.878 million on these programs.

Programme Officer of the organization, Bed Prasad Bhurtel, told RSS that various programs related to education, health, entrepreneurship and employment have been in place targeting the disabled, children, women, youth and unemployed.

The Plan has partnered with Aasman Nepal, Community Family Welfare Association, Janaki Mahila Jagaran Samaj and Support Nepal to run the program at the local level where the project is being run, he said.
