Three dead in Saptari road accident

Rajbiraj, April 27: Three people died in a road accident that occurred on Sunday at Badgama of Kanchanpur Municipality-10 in Saptari district along the East-West Highway.

The Deputy Superintendent of Police of Area Police Office in Kanchanpur, Saptari, Madhav Prasad Kafle said that 75-year-old Ratna Bahadur Magrati of Saptakoshi Municipality-1 in Saptari; 22-year-old Kabita Chaudhary of Triyuga Municipality-2 in Udayapur and Anil Rai, 39, of Gauradaha-2 in Jhapa district succumbed to the injuries following the road accident.

The accident happened after the bus (Pra 1-01-001 Kha 3420) heading to Biratnagar from Udayapur turned turtle after the driver lost control of the vehicle.

As many as 29 people were injured in the accident and are receiving treatment in a health facility in Saptari, according to police.
