Heat waves (Loo) likely to occur in Terai belt of Lumbini province
April 24, Kathmandu: Nepal’s temperature is rising in most areas except in the high, hilly and mountainous regions.
Kathmandu Valley’s maximum temperature today is expected to be 31–33°C. Extreme heat is possible in Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Sudurpaschim, and Madhesh provinces, with potential heat waves known as Loo in Lumbini’s Terai region.
However, light rain and snowfall are possible in the high, hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali.
