April 11, Kathmandu: Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, on Friday emphasized the need for comprehensive infrastructure to ensure regular international flights at Gautam Buddha and Pokhara International Airports.

Speaking to journalists at Gautam Buddha International Airport, he stressed that the government was responsible for preparing essential facilities to fully operationalize both airports.

Minister Gurung noted that a 10-point action plan had been approved, with further proposals sent to various ministries, including Labor and Home, to establish visa, customs, and quarantine offices.

He underscored the importance of promoting tourism, even if immediate profits are limited, to sustain the airports’ operations.
