KU signs MoU with Thai University on glaciology

Bangkok: Kathmandu University of Nepal and Siam University of Thailand have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to increase the number of Thai students studying glaciology at the higher level in Nepal.

The MoU was signed between the two universities following the bilateral meeting between visiting Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and his Thai counterpart Paetongtarn Shinawatra on Wednesday.

It is the first official visit of the Nepali Prime Minister to Thailand since the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries.

The MoU was signed by KU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Achyut Wagle and Siam University President Dr Pornchai Mongkhonvanit.

Vice Chancellor Dr. Wagle informed that the MoU had paved the way for Thai students to study at the university in traditional architecture, glaciology, and environmental science.
