Over 16,000 people to be benefitted from Bhandara-II Drinking Water Project

 

Kathmandu, March 26: Construction of the Bhandara II Drinking Water Project has been completed.

The Drinking Water Project has been constructed at Bhandara of Rapti municipality-4 in Chitwan district. Minister for Water Supply, Pradeep Yadav, inaugurated the project on Wednesday. On the occasion, Minister Yadav shared that 16,244 people of 3,200 households from Rapti municipalities 4, 5 and 6 would directly benefit from the project.

Earlier, the people there were facing difficulties in their daily lives due to a lack of clean drinking water, the Minister reminded, expressing the belief that the project would supply clean and safe drinking water around the clock.

Minister Yadav expressed happiness over the completion of the important project due to the collective commitment, collaboration and hard work of the federal government, the consumers committee and local communities.

The project was constructed for Rs 98.6 million, according to the Federal Drinking Water and Sewerage Management Project, Bharatpur. —RSS
