Budget will be brought in coordination of ministries, NPC: DPM Paudel

Kathmandu: Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel has said that the budget estimates for the coming fiscal year would be brought in coordination among the Finance Ministry, line ministries and National Planning Commission.

During the meeting with the Home Ministry regarding the budget preparation of the coming fiscal year 2025/26, Minister Paudel shared there would be ownership towards the budget if it is brought in coordination of the three sides, while it would be easier in its implementation as well.

He added that there would be uniformity in understanding as well as challenges and problems could be resolved if the budget is introduced after holding discussion and consultation.

The Finance Minister stressed the need for coordination between policies, programmes and budget, urging to present a proposal of budget and programmes keeping the available resources in mind.

Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, the Vice-Chairperson of the National Planning Commission, the Finance Secretary, the Chiefs of Nepal Police, and the Armed Police Force Nepal were present in the meeting.
