President Ram Chandra Paudel urges equal healthcare access for all citizens

Kathmandu: President Ram Chandra Paudel has stressed the importance of ensuring equal access to healthcare for all citizens in line with the spirit of the Constitution.

Speaking at an event organized by the Nepal Medical Association on Tuesday, President Paudel emphasized the need to focus on improving healthcare quality and increasing access for every citizen.

He also highlighted the nation’s investment in producing skilled doctors, in alignment with the constitutional spirit.

Furthermore, President Paudel noted that the federal democratic republican constitution guarantees basic needs like health and education, secured through the struggles and sacrifices of the Nepali people.

However, he pointed out that many remote areas still lack adequate healthcare and called for urgent action to deploy skilled healthcare professionals nationwide.

While acknowledging improvements in healthcare services, President Paudel raised concerns about doctors leaving the country due to limited opportunities, urging relevant authorities to address the issue.
