Earthquake: Two injured in Kathmandu Valley

Kathmandu: Two persons were injured while fleeing the houses they were in after the 6.1 magnitude earthquake jolted early morning on Friday.

The earthquake had its epicentre near Bhairavkunda of Sindhupalchowk district. Spokesperson at the Kathmandu Valley Police Office, SSP Shekhar Khanal, said that they were injured at New Baneshwor.

Those receiving injury in the rush were Prashant Thing from Shantinagar. He is originally from Triyuga, Udayapur. Another injured Hari Gaire is from Mid Baneshwor and originally from Madhyabindu, Nawalparasi. The earthquake occurred at 2:51 am Friday.

Similarly, Spokesperson of Nepal Police, Dinesh Kumar Acharya, shared that some houses in the eastern districts of the country witnessed minor damages. No major damage was recorded so far, he added.
