CPN (Maoist Centre) Chair Dahal hoists National Flag

Jhapa, Feb 24: CPN (Maoist Centre) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has emphasized the preservation and promotion of the nation’s cultural diversity and historical heritage.

Hoisting the National Flag at Kachanakawal, the lowest point in the country, in Jhapa district this morning, the Maoist Centre Chair called for the conservation and promotion of heritage to build a culturally rich society.

Chairman Dahal raised the National Flag at the marker at Kachanakawal. He is scheduled to launch the Maoist Centre’s “People’s Tarai Madhes Public Awareness Campaign” from Hukka Hukki Chowk in Baniyani later today, the party’s Jhapa In-charge, Ranjit Tamang, said.

The campaign, which begins in Jhapa, will conclude in Kanchanpur, located in Sudurpaschim, the far west of the country.

The party chairperson is accompanied by the party’s senior vice-chairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha, vice-chair Agni Sapkota, and deputy general-secretaries Barshaman Pun and Janardan Sharma.
