Jhapa-11 defeats Machhindra Football Club
Jhapa, Feb 20: Jhapa-11 won today’s match held under the Bhadrapur Jhapa Gold Cup International Invitation Knockout Football tournament.
Jhapa defeated Machhindra Football Club 1-0. With this victory, Jhapa-11 entered the quarter-finals of the tournament. It will face Church Boys United in the quarters. The first quarter-final match will be played on Friday, where the organizing team, Bhadrapur Blazers, will face the Nepal Police Club.
The title winner of the tournament would bag Rs 1.3 million in cash, a trophy and medals while the runner-up team would get Rs 700,000, a trophy and a medal. Similarly, the outstanding player of the tournament would receive Rs 105,000, while the outstanding goalkeeper, highest goal scorer, emerging player, and coach would take home Rs 25,000 each.
