First group of Nepali auxiliary workers departs for Israel

February 18, Kathmandu: The first group of 13 Nepali auxiliary workers in the caregiver sector departed for Israel on Tuesday.

A farewell ceremony at Tribhuvan International Airport was attended by Director General of Foreign Employment Surya Bahadur Khatri, Israeli Ambassador Shmulik Arie Bass, and senior labour ministry officials.

Director General Khatri urged workers to uphold Nepal’s values, while Ambassador Bass highlighted the growing bilateral cooperation.

Upon reaching Israel, Israeli immigration officials and Nepali Embassy representatives will receive the group before they start their new roles in care facilities.
