Rastriya Panchayat member Dahal passes away

Kathmandu: Then Rastriya Panchayat member Nanimaiya Dahal passed away.

She was 92 when she passed away during treatment for pneumonia at the Dirghayu Hospital in Kathmandu.

Dahal was elected a member of the Rastriya Panchayat by defeating Jogmehar Shrestha during the Panchayat period. She came into the limelight after defeating Shrestha by a double margin of votes.

Family sources have stated that her last rites will be performed at Pashupati Aryaghat today itself.
