Chisapani-Gaddachauki road section to be made six-lane: Foreign Minister

Kailali, Feb 10: Minister for Foreign Affairs Arzu Rana Deuba announced that the construction of the six-lane Chisapani-Gaddachauki section of the East-West Mahendra Highway will begin soon.

Inaugurating the newly built administrative building of Lamkichuha Municipality in Kailali, Minister Deuba shared that a survey is underway for the road expansion due to increasing vehicle traffic. “Sudurpashchim Province Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah is leading the initiative for the six-lane expansion. The survey is ongoing, and construction will start soon,” she said.

Minister Deuba expressed confidence that the new building would improve integrated services for the city’s residents. She also emphasized the government’s commitment to the region’s agricultural development and expressed excitement about the local-level development.

While in Kailali, Minister Deuba also inaugurated the newly constructed party office of the Nepali Congress in Kailali Region No. 2 and Lamkichuha Municipality.
