RSS for institutionalization of democracy: CM Shah
Sudurpaschim, Jan 28: Chief Minister of Sudurpaschim Province, Kamal Bahadur Shah, viewed the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) as having a tremendous role in the institutionalization of democracy and the federal republic.
CM Shah said it during a delegation led by RSS Chairman Dharmendra Jha at the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers, Dhangadhi, this morning. He also vowed the province government’s role in the development of RSS. RSS has been disseminating factual and credible news, he said, expressing commitment to extend support for the organizational reform at RSS.
CM Shah further informed that the province government was ready to cooperate with RSS in its bid to launch Doteli and Tharu languages in the news service. RSS would also get financial assistance for the reconstruction of the RSS building at Dhangadhi, he added.
On the occasion, the executive chairman of RSS, Dharmendra Jha, informed that RSS management was focused on developing a new building at Dhangadhi as the center for journalism training. He requested the province government to utilize RSS as its information mechanism.
Chairman Jha also informed the CM about previous initiatives of RSS, like the launch of a news service in Abadhi, Maithili, and Nepal Bhasa at RSS, and sought assistance from the province government to bring the news service to Doteli and Tharu languages in Sudurpaschim Province.
The delegation led by Chairman Jha included the RSS sub-editor in Sudurpaschim Province, Siddharaj Bhatta, and the FNJ Chair in the province, Bharat Shah, among others. —RSS
