Four Indians held with pistol
Kanchanpur: The District Police Office, Kanchanpur on Wednesday night apprehended four Indian nationals for possession of a pistol.
Police intervened in a car with an Indian number plate along the East-West Highway near Aithpur of Bhimdutta municipality-6 and confiscated the arm.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police, Umesh Raj Joshi, the four were travelling in the same vehicle and the pistol was found concealed inside the backseat pocket.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Sanjay Jethi (32), Jivan Singh (34), Komal Bist (32), and Umed Singh Adhikari (34). Before the arrest, authorities had received a tip-off that the Indian nationals were travelling with the firearm.
