Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Rana congratulates new US Secretary of State

January 21, Kathmandu: Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Arju Rana Deuba has extended warm congratulations to Marco Rubio on his appointment as the 72nd Secretary of State of the United States. She expressed her felicitations to her newly appointed American counterpart on the social media platform X.

In her congratulatory message, Minister Dr Rana stated that she is eager to collaborate with Secretary Rubio to further strengthen the relationship between Nepal and the United States.

The newly appointed US Secretary of State, Rubio, is a Senator from Florida. His nomination was approved by the Senate with a 99-0 vote. International media reported that President Donald Trump’s nomination for Rubio as Secretary of State faced no opposition.
