Kathmandu: Public Service Broadcasting Nepal has emphasized that it should play a role in making health and education qualitative and effective in partnership with the federal, provincial and local levels.
Participating in the thematic discussion organized today on the occasion of the pre-launch of Public Service Broadcasting (PSB), Minister for Health and Population Pradeep Poudel and Minister for Education, Science and Technology Bidhya Bhattarai suggested that PSB should play a role in providing information through their programs and news about the work being done to extend access to health and education to the general public.
Executive Chairperson of PSB Nepal Dr. Mahendra Bista said that PSB Nepal will prioritize health and education and move forward as the main agenda.
Chair Dr. Bista expressed his commitment to move forward in a way that will facilitate problem-solving by raising issues from new angles, drawing conclusions through dialogue and discussion, and eliminating the gap created among citizens due to the expensive health and education system.
The PSB pre-launching program that kicked off on Tuesday will continue until January 16.
Various thematic discussions and sessions regarding PSB’s model are being held and it is expected that the conclusions from the discussions will provide guidance for PSB Nepal to move forward.
