Regulation of social network’s ills essential: Minister Gurung
Lekhnath (Kaski): Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, has said it is essential to regulate social networks’ ills. Preparations were on to bring a related bill to regulate social networks’ problems, he shared.
Minister Gurung who is also the spokesperson of the government said it while inaugurating the 13th edition of Pokhara Festival at Amarsing Chaur in Kaski on Thursday.
The government is committed to creating employment opportunities for youths in addition to the development of education, health, drinking water, physical infrastructures and communications.
He made it clear that two big parties came together for the present coalition to ensure good governance and political stability.
“We are making utmost efforts for economic progress to make people realize development,” Gurung said, adding that tourism related infrastructures were essential in Pokhara, for which local and province governments could pay adequate attention.
According to him, conservation of Phewa Lake deserves utmost attention.
He further suggested the province government to intensify construction of inner ring road to reduce traffic jam in Pokhara Valley.
On the occasion, lawmaker Man Bahadur Gurung viewed promotion of art and culture would help boost tourism in Pokhara.
Similarly, lawmaker Damodar Paudel said the festival has a role to play on making economy dynamic.
The festival would continue for 12 days.
A total of 258 stalls showcasing varieties of products would be set up in the event.
