India delays space docking experiment

New Delhi (Xinhua): India Monday announced the postponement of its much-anticipated Space Docking Experiment (SpaDeX) by two days. According to the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), the test that was scheduled to take place on Tuesday morning has now been moved to Thursday.

‘The docking process requires further validation through ground simulations based on an abort scenario identified today,’ ISRO said in a brief statement without details.

ISRO launched the SpaceX mission on Dec. 30 using the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C60) with the two satellites, SDX01 (Chaser) and SDX02 (Target), 220 kg each.
