Blankets distributed to patients at province hospital

Siraha, Jan 7: Lahan municipality of Siraha district distributed blankets to the patients receiving treatment at Uma Prasad Memorial Province Hospital, Lahan.

Municipality mayor Mahesh Prasad Chaudhari handed over 65 sets of blankets to the patients to avoid cold. He informed us that the temperature was decreasing day by day, hitting hard the poor and marginalized people. “The warm clothes would help patients stay away from the cold,” he said, adding that the Tarai districts were facing a cold wave in recent days.

Dr. Bijendra Kumar Yadav informed that the blanket distribution was a succor for those facing chill. It is also the relief to the hospital, he added. There are 65 beds in the hospital. —RSS
