Senior Advocate Pokharel elected Chair of Supreme Court Bar Association
Kathmandu, Jan 4: Senior Advocate Meghraj Pokharel has been elected the chairman of the Supreme Court Bar Association.
In a vote count completed this evening, Pokharel won the election by getting 368 votes against his competitor Mahesh Thapa’s 181 votes. Likewise, Ambar Bahadur Raut was elected the vice-chair while Raman Kumar Karn was made the secretary.
Likewise, Pun Devi Maharjan was elected the joint secretary and Ram Chandra Poudel was the treasurer.
Shashi Basnet, Durgamohan Shrestha, Indra Shekhar Khadka, Pradip Kumar Shrestha, Nageshwor Prasad Chaudhary, Nirmal Prasad Upadhyay, Om Krishna Shrestha, Pramod Regmi, Purushottam Lohani, Pradip Kumar Rajbansi, and Satishraj Mainali were elected as the members of the working committee. —RSS
