Two killed as motorcycle rams into tractor in Barahathawa

December 31, Kathmandu: Two people were killed when a tractor and a motorbike collided at Nayaroad road, Shanti Chowk at Barahathawa Municipality-9 in Sarlahi district on Monday night.

The tractor (Ja 1 Ta 9876) carrying sugarcane was heading towards Hariwan while the motorcycle (Ja 4 Pa 377) was going towards Barahathawa at the time of the accident.

Both the youths who died in the accident were travelling on the motorcycle. Police identified the deceased as Harindra Mahato and Purushottam Das the residents of Rajuchowk, Barahathawa-5. Critically injured in the mishap, Mahato died while undergoing treatment at the Barahathawa-based Advance Sanjeevani Hospital and Das breathed his last under treatment at Bayodha Hospital in Birgunj.
