Emphasis on transforming historical opportunity of Public Service Broadcasting Nepal into achievements
Kathmandu: Emphasis has been laid on the need to transform the historical opportunity of Public Service Broadcasting Nepal-PSB into achievements during the course of moving forward.
Speaking at the handover of office and congratulations and best wishes to the newly elected working committee of the Federation of Nepali Journalists Radio Nepal Chapter, Speakers said everyone should work responsibly to make PSB successful as the future of both Radio Nepal and Nepal Television is connected with it.
Addressing the program, the Executive Chairperson of Public Service Broadcasting Nepal Dr. Mahendra Bista urged all the concerned ones to work towards producing people-centric content in a visible and result-oriented manner to fulfil the essence of PSB.
Expressing his commitment to work in a timely manner in the interest of both organizations in the regulations, rules and employee adjustment related to the organization, Executive Chairperson Dr Bista urged the employees to improve their practices for result-oriented work.
President of the Federation of Nepali Journalists Nirmala Sharma said the Federation is ready to take PSB forward as per its principle and to ensure the security of labour, dignity and rights of workers along with the production of contents.
Acting Chief Administrative Officer of Public Service Broadcasting Nepal, Bishnu Ram Neupane, urged everyone to focus on producing and broadcasting people-centric comments as the works have begun to make the PSB successful by planning as per the objectives.
Deputy Executive Directors of Public Service Broadcasting Nepal, Khagendra Khatri and Chandra Bhushan Lal Das, pointed out the need for everyone, working at Radio Nepal and Nepal Television, to work with unity to make PSB; an institution worth being proud of.
At the program, the outgoing President of the Federation of Nepali Journalists Radio Nepal Branch, Bipramani Acharya, newly elected President Bhushan Kumar Pokharel, President of Radio Nepal Employees Association, Chet Narayan Poudel, outgoing Vice President of the Federation of Nepali Journalists Radio Nepal, Benju Subedi, newly elected Vice President of Federation of Nepali Journalists Sarita Khanal expressed their commitment to work in unity for implementing PSB.
Meanwhile, Public Service Broadcasting Nepal-PSB Executive Chairperson Dr Mahendra Bista inspected the old broadcasting building of Radio Nepal located in Singha Durbar, which is undergoing reconstruction after being damaged by the 2015 earthquake, and directed to move forward with the process of handover as soon as possible.
