Kathmandu: Public Service Broadcasting Nepal’s Executive Chairman Dr. Mahendra Bista has said that it is necessary to move forward by focusing the content broadcast by the public service on the people.

Inaugurating a one-day workshop on ‘News Content, Responsibility and Accountability in Public Service Broadcasting’ at Singha Durbar on Friday, Chairman Dr. Bista said that the workshop would be important to change the approach of PSB in determining the priority of news. He said that it is necessary to move forward by paying attention to the objectives and values ​​of public service broadcasting.

Bishnu Ram Neupane, the newly appointed Acting Chief Administrative Officer of Public Service Broadcasting Nepal, said that moving forward according to the objectives of public service broadcasting is the current priority.

Khagendra Khatri, Deputy Executive Director of Public Service Broadcasting Nepal, said that everyone should make efforts to make its broadcasting people-centric to fulfill the objectives of PSB.

The workshop organized for journalists working in the news divisions of Radio Nepal and Nepal Television was facilitated by communications expert Raghu Mainali.
