Japanese ambassador meets with Chandragiri mayor
Kathmandu: Tamura Takahiro, Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of Japan in Nepal, called on the mayor of Chandragiri municipality, Ghanshyam Giri.
During the meeting held on Tuesday, they exchanged views on mutual interests and bilateral concerns. As the Municipality source said, on the occasion, the mayor apprised the delegation led by Takahiro about the major deliveries of the local government.
The Mayor apprised the Embassy delegation about the possibility of support from the Japanese government to Chandragiri in waste management, management of water supplies, job creation, utilisation of information technology, and the establishment of sisterly relations, among others.
On the occasion, Takahiro acknowledged the coordinating roles that the mayor, other people’s representatives, employees and Nagdhunga folks played during the implementation of the Nagdhunga Tunnel Way construction project.
He said the Japanese government is ready to extend all possible support to the municipality and other sectors’ development as well. On the same occasion, Takahiro also observed the exhibition of local productions.
Deputy Mayor Basanti Shrestha, Spokesperson Krishna Prasad Khadgi, ward chairs Narendra Shrestha, Ghanashyam Luintel, Pralhad Rijal, Shree Krishna Khatri, Education Section Chief Sujan Khanal and Administration Chief Damodar Rijal were present.
The expo included handicrafts, wooden artworks and culinary.
