Incumbent government formed to save country from political instability-Communications Minister Gurung
Gandaki, Dec 21: Minister for Communications and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung clarified that the present government was formed on the partnership between the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML to protect the country from political instability.
Inaugurating the 57th anniversary of Barah Secondary School at Machhapuchchhre rural municipality-6 in Kaski district today, he said the people have become frustrated due to frequent changes in the government. Minister Gurung further said the present government was active in the field with a determination to fulfill the people’s expectations that have not been fulfilled despite the change in the system in the country.
Minister Gurung, also the spokesperson of the government, further said that the government would move ahead by amending the policy acts and laws that have hindered the development works. The attraction of students and parents to private schools has increased due to the lack of quality of education in community schools. Minister Gurung said, “The government is planning to bring a new education policy to make them professional by providing educational certificates on one hand and skills on the other.”.
Stressing the need to end the practice of not maintaining the quality of education as per the government investment, he said teachers, parents, and students should be involved in this. Minister Gurung also unveiled the silver year inscription of the land donor’s pillar and veterinary operation built on the school premises. He also honored the school’s donors, alumni, and outstanding staff.
Machhapuchchhre rural municipality chair Minraj Gurung stressed the importance of delivering quality education to increase the attraction of students to community schools. School Management Committee Chair Ashman Rokaya presided over the program where educationist Tankanath Sharma, school principal Surendra Gurung, and other speakers appreciated Barah Secondary School’s contribution to the educational enhancement of the Gandaki region.
