Tourism Minister Pandey holds meeting with Cambodian counterpart Borin

Tourism Minister Pandey proposes direct flight from Cambodia to Bhairahawa 

Kathmandu: Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Badri Prasad Pandey, has proposed a direct flight route between Cambodia and Bhairahawa.

During a courtesy meeting with Cambodia’s, Minister of Cults and Religions, Chhay Borin, on Sunday, Minister Pandey suggested a new flight route to connect the two countries.

Minister Pandey also briefed the Cambodian minister about the benefits offered by the Nepali government to airlines operating at Pokhara and Bhairahawa international airports.

Additionally, both ministers discussed the development of a Buddhist Circuit (Boudha Circuit) connecting key Buddhist heritage sites in both countries.

They explored opportunities for cultural exchange in arts, music, literature, and tourism.

The two also discussed possible cooperation in preserving UNESCO World Heritage Sites, promoting youth and educational exchanges, and simplifying visa processes to encourage mutual tourism.

Minister Borin also extended an invitation to Minister Pandey for an official visit to Cambodia.
