CJ Raut seeks support to up dignity of judiciary
Kathmandu: Chief Justice (CJ) Prakashman Singh Raut has said that the judiciary has returned to its right track, thanks to tireless efforts of all.
Giving away the certificate to the senior advocates in Kathmandu on Saturday, the CJ said now the dignity of the judiciary should be maintained.
Saying that the present context has offered responsibility to maintain the dignity of the judiciary, the CJ said we ourselves should make a thorough review of our jobs.
CJ Raut said that he was ready to make the judiciary dignified and sought support from the senior advocates too.
CJ Raut mentioned that the judiciary could be made dignified given that there was support and cooperation of all.
The CJ added that the senior advocates should exercise the highest level of dignity and should limit oneself within a line of morality and ethics.
Likewise, Attorney General Ramesh Badal asked the senior advocates to promote their dignity and reminded the senior advocates of their professional priorities and obligations.
On the occasion, senior justice of the Supreme Court, Sapana Pradhan Malla, senior advocate Bhimarjun Acharya, senior advocate Kabita Basnet and others expressed their views.
During the event, 159 senior advocates were provided with their certificate.
