Int’l Conference on Vedanta-Science concludes

Bhaktapur, Nov. 24: The First International Conference on a Dialogue between Vedanta and Science on the Origin of Life and Evolution ended on Sunday.

More than 30 spiritual thinkers and university professors from Nepal, India, and the US presented their papers at the conference attended by some 450 participants. Executive Director of Akshara School, the co-organizer of the event, Anju Bhattarai said that the conference was organized to inspire the individuals to move ahead by exploring their inner conscience.

On the occasion, Acharya Dr. Bhakti Niskama Shanta Maharaj of West Bengal’s (India) Chaitanya Saraswat Institute and Prof. Dr. Mohan Kharel of Tribhuvan University stressed incorporating the Vedic concept for the interpretation of the origin and evolution of life.

Likewise, the Director of Bhakti Vedanta Institute at Princeton in the US, Dr. Shreel Bhakti Madhava Puri Maharaja, claimed that there was no difference between Vedanta and science, citing different examples. —RSS
