Meeting held to address waste management issues in Kathmandu Valley

Kathmandu: The Ministry of Urban Development held a meeting to address waste management issues in the Kathmandu Valley.

The high-level committee, formed to facilitate the Banchare Danda Landfill site, discussed solutions to the Valley’s waste management challenges.

Banchare Danda Sanitary landfill is an under construction sanitary landfill site to dispose the solid waste of Kathmandu Valley.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for  Urban Development, Prakashman Singh, stressed the need for collective action and adherence to guidelines on waste classification and recycling.

Minister Singh also emphasized the importance of addressing concerns of local residents’ of the area regarding the landfill site’s issues .
