Visiting Indian Army Chief Gen. Dwivedi pays homage to martyrs
November 21, Kathmandu: Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi Dwivedi on Thursday paid homage to the martyrs by laying a wreath at the Martyr’s Memorial in the Army Pavilion, Tundikhel.
General Dwivedi arrived in Kathmandu on Wednesday afternoon on a five-day official visit.
President Ramchandra Paudel is scheduled to confer the honorary rank of ‘General of the Nepal Army’ upon the Indian Army Chief General on Thursday itself
This is Dwivedi’s first official visit to Nepal after he was appointed the Army Chief on June 30. He is scheduled to hold separate courtesy calls on Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Defense Minister Manbir Rai on Friday.
