NARC and Radio Nepal to broadcast weekly weather and agricultural advisory

November 19, Kathmandu: Nepal Agricultural Research Council (NARC) and Radio Nepal have signed an agreement to broadcast the Agriculture-Weather Advisory Bulletin.

The agreement was signed on Tuesday by Amar Dhwoj Lama, Executive Director of Radio Nepal, and Kali Prasad Upadhyaya, Office Chief of NARC.

This collaboration aims to disseminate accurate and timely agricultural and weather-related information to the farming community across Nepal. The program will be broadcast every Saturday evening from 6:25 PM to 6:35 PM on Radio Nepal.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Executive Director Lama emphasized the importance of such initiatives in bridging the gap between farmers and modern agricultural practices and scientists/technicians. He expressed confidence that the partnership with NARC would empower farmers to adopt innovative techniques and improve their livelihoods.

Upadhyaya echoed this sentiment, highlighting the potential of the program to contribute to Nepal’s agricultural development. He assured continued collaboration with Radio Nepal to deliver valuable insights and advice to the farming community.
