Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Rana’s 100 days achievements in brief
October 24, Kathmandu: In her first 100 days as Foreign Minister, Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba has made significant strides in expanding Nepal’s diplomatic outreach.
Her visit to India in August marked a key achievement, leading to an agreement for India to import 941 megawatts of electricity from Nepal, with a long-term commitment to import 10,000 megawatts over the next decade.
Minister Dr Rana also raised concerns about bilateral interests and the safety of Nepali students in Bangladesh amid political unrest.
Dr. Rana represented Nepal in key international forums, including the UN General Assembly, the G20, and meetings of the Non-Aligned Movement and Landlocked Developing Countries. Her efforts have focused on climate change, peace process updates, and foreign direct investment.
