Landslide displaces family of nine in Baitadi

Baitadi: A landslide buried a house in Baitadi last midnight.

A two-storied cemented house of Surendra Rokaya from Jokhalli, Dilashan rural municipality-4 was destroyed in the landslide.

According to the District Police Office’s Spokesperson, Janak Raj Dhungana, no casualty was reported.

The family lost their belongings including foodstuff in the landslide. Upon the realisation that the landslide was occurring, the family of nine evacuated the house to take shelter in the relatives’ home. Further details are awaited.
