Transportation disrupted at Daunne after road subsidence

Triveni (Nawalparasi), Aug 13: Transportation at Daunne of Nawalpur was disrupted last night due to road subsidence.

Only one-way traffic is allowed at Daunne section along the East-West Highway to repair the road that caved in.

The road would be partially operative till 1:00 pm today, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police, Bed Bahadur Paudel. It would be repaired till then.

DSP Paudel further said the road collapsed at Daunne of Binay Triveni rural municipality-2. The maintenance works would be carried out to prevent further damage.

The vehicles using this road section are urged to adopt an alternative route till the completion of maintenance.
