Deepak Prasad Devkota assumes office as Bagmati Province Chief

Makwanpur: Deepak Prasad Devkota has officially assumed office as the Province Chief of Bagmati Province today.

Devkota, who took the oath of office before President Ramchandra Poudel on Thursday, officially assumed his new role this morning.

The ceremony was attended by leaders of Bagmati province including Chief Minister Bahadur Singh Lama, provincial ministers, government secretaries, and heads of security agencies.

Likewise, the outgoing province chief, Yadav Chandra Sharma, was also honoured in a farewell ceremony.

During the event, Devkota expressed his gratitude to Sharma and bid him farewell by presenting him with a ceremonial garland.
