Krishna Bahadur Gharti assumes office as Lumbini Province Chief
Rupandehi: Krishna Bahadur Gharti of Rolpa has officially assumed office as the fourth provincial chief of Lumbini Province today.
While the constitution mandates a five-year term for the province chief, central government changes often lead to provincial leadership shifts.
Gharti took his oath of office before the President on Thursday and assumed his role as province chief at the major financial city of Lumbini, Butwal.
Prior to taking office, Gharti was warmly welcomed by Lumbini Province Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya and other prominent leaders of Lumbini Province.
