Yagya Raj Joshi assumes office as chief of Karnali province

Karnali: Chief of Karnali Province Yagya Raj Joshi has officially assumed office, taking on the responsibilities as the fourth chief of the province.

Karnali Chief Joshi was appointed by President Ramchandra Paudel in accordance with Article 163 (2) of the Constitution, based on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers.

Yagya Raj Joshi, who hails from Bhatekhola in Bajhang, has been a member of the Nepali Congress.

Province Chief Joshi, who arrived in Surkhet from Kathmandu this morning after taking the oath of office from the President, assumed his role as Karnali chief in a special ceremony organized by the Office of Chief Minister and Council of Ministers, Karnali Province.

Likewise, in the ceremony, Province Chief Joshi pledged to work collaboratively and cooperate with all parties for progress.

The ceremony was attended by leaders of Karnali Province including Chief Minister Yamlal Kandel, Speaker Nanda Gurung, Minister of Land Management, Agriculture, and Cooperatives Binod Kumar Shah, Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Urban Development Sher Bahadur Budha, and other notable figures.

During the program, Chief Secretary of Karnali Province Chudamani Paudel briefed province chief Joshi on the current situation of the province.
