Radio Nepal is committed to making broadcasting inclusive and people-centric: Executive Director KC
Kathmandu: The Press Council Nepal has interacted with Radio Nepal today regarding the implementation of the journalist code of conduct.

Speaking in the interaction held in the auditorium of Radio Nepal today, the executive director of Radio Nepal, Buddhi Bahadur KC said the radio was committed to making broadcasting inclusive and people-centric in accordance with the obligations given by the state.

Executive Director KC stated that Radio Nepal was implementing broadcasting guidelines, its stylebook and broadcasting codes of conduct by emphasizing the recognition of self-regulation as it was serving the people.

Likewise, President of Press Council Nepal Balkrishna Basnet mentioned that the development of information technology has added challenges to the implementation of the journalistic code of conduct. He called on the media to create an internal code of conduct to make journalism more dignified and credible.

Deputy Executive Directors of Radio Nepal Khagendra Khatri, Chandra Bhushan Lal Das and Krishna Chandra Poudel, Jawindra Bhushal of Nepal Press Council and high officials and employees of Radio Nepal and Press Council Nepal participated in the interaction.
