Satish Singh appointed as Chief Minister for Madhesh Province

Chief of Madhesh Province Sumitra Subedi Bhandari has appointed Satish Singh of Janamat Party as Chief Minister for the Province.

According to the Secretary of Madhesh Province Chief’s office Satrughan Yadav, Chief Bhandari has appointed Singh under section 148-2 of the Constitution of Nepal 2072.

A total of 58 Members of parliament from different political parties of Madhesh Province signed and submitted the letter supporting Singh for his appointment as Chief Minister.

From 107 total Parliamentary members in Madhesh Province, a majority of 54 members is required for the appointment of Chief Minister.

Meanwhile, the oath-taking ceremony of newly appointed Chief Minister Singh is taking place today itself.
