Winter session of parliament commencing today

February 5, Kathmandu: The winter session of both houses of the Federal Parliament is beginning on Monday.

Taking stock of the ongoing preparations for the Federal Parliament’s winter session, Speaker Devraj Ghimire said the winter session of the parliament should pass more bills required for the state.

He also shared that a commitment had been made to work by making the calendar of the parliamentary session and making the winter session more effective. 

Speaker Ghimire stated that the government had assured to give more business to the House by tabling bills.

There are 24 bills in the federal parliament for this session and the other 16 bills in the thematic committees. Currently, 15 bills are under discussion in the respective committees.
