ABU Developing Broadcasters Excellence Award – 2023 conferred on Radio Nepal’s Deputy Director Manandhar

Radio Nepal’s Deputy Director (Engineering) Purswotam Manandhar has been conferred the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU)’s ABU Developing Broadcasters Excellence Award – 2023.
The ABU having its 60 member states across the Asia-Pacific region provided the prestigious award to Radio Nepal’s Engineer Manandhar for his contribution to the expansion of radio broadcasting in the rural parts of Nepal.
The award was handed over to a delegation of Radio Nepal during the ABU’s 60th General Assembly recently held in the capital of South Korea, Seoul. The award then was provided to Manandhar by Radio Nepal’s Executive Director (ED) Buddhi Bahadur KC amidst a program organized in Radio Nepal’s Central office in Singh Durbar.

ED KC said the ward provided to the broadcasting institutions of the developing countries of the Asia Pacific region, received by Radio Nepal’s Engineer Manandhar was a great honour.
Receiving the award, Deputy Director, Engineer Manandhar said the award has inspired him to discharge the duties efficiently in the days to come.
The ABU also conferred the Engineering Excellence Award on Radio Nepal’s Engineer Udaya Krishna Shrestha last year.
