PM holds talks with people’s representatives about damage caused by Bajhang earthquake

Kathmandu: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has called a meeting of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority to discuss the earthquakes that jolted Bajhang yesterday.

Issues of earthquake damage, relief and rehabilitation will be discussed in the meeting called by the Prime Minister for tomorrow (Thursday).

Today, the Prime Minister called the people’s representatives and political party leaders from Bajhang district and acquired information about the damage caused by the earthquake and the subsequent situation.

A 6.3 magnitude earthquake hit Bajahng district in Western Nepal on Tuesday that killed a person, injured more than dozen others and damaged hundreds of homes.

Meanwhile, the Sudurpaschim Province Government has announced to bear the treatment expenses of the injured people.
