Constitutional Council recommends Shrestha new Chief Justice of Supreme Court
Kathmandu: The Constitutional Council has recommended an appointment of senior-most judge Bishwambhar Prasad Shrestha to the post of Chief Justice.

A meeting of the Constitutional Council held at the Office of the Prime Minister on Thursday evening recommended Shrestha for the position of Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.
The recommendation came as incumbent Chief Justice Hari Krishna Karki will retire coming Sunday.
Moreover, the Constitutional Council has also decided to forward the appointment process of the Auditor General, the Election Commissioner, and the members of the Fiscal Commission and the Muslim Commission.
