Petrol, diesel price increases; LP gas cylinder price decreases

August 2, Kathmandu: The price of petroleum products has increased in Nepal. The state-owned Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has increased the petrol price by Rs 9 per litre and kerosene and diesel price by Rs 7 per litre.
It came into effect on Wednesday.
NOC said that the price hike decision was made after India increased the price of the petroleum products.
With this, petroleum price will cost Rs 170 per litre in Group A, Rs 172 in Group B and Rs 173 in Group C.
Likewise, diesel and kerosene will cost Rs 150 per litre in Group A, Rs 152 in Group B and Rs 153 in the group C. Price of LP gas cylinders however has been reduced to Rs 1,660. As informed, Rs 130 has been reduced for each cylinder.
