Nepal-US International Film Festival to showcase 37 films from 11 countries

May 25, Kathmandu: A total of 37 films, including feature films, documentaries, short films, and animations from eleven countries, will be screened at the Nepal-US International Film Festival.
The festival is scheduled to take place from July 22 to 25. Festival director Yubakar Rajakarnikar has announced that films such as ‘Aina Jhyalko Putli’ directed by Sujit Bidari from Nepal, ‘Joyland’ directed by Sayeem Sadiq from Pakistan, short film ‘Lori’ directed by Avinash Vikram Shah from Nepal, and ‘Four Nights’ directed by Deepak Rauniar will be showcased at the event.
The festival’s opening and closing ceremonies will be held at the AFI Silver Theater in Maryland, USA. Additionally, screenings will be held at the AFI and the Old Greenbelt Theater.
In addition to film screenings, the festival will feature discussions on various aspects of film, culture, and innovative technology. The Nepal-American Film Society, based in the state of Maryland, has been organizing this annual festival since 2017.
