Embassy of Pakistan inaugurates Pakistan-Nepal Friendship Park in Kathmandu

May 23, Kathmandu: The Embassy of Pakistan organized a special inauguration ceremony on Tuesday for the “Pakistan-Nepal Friendship Park” in Kathmandu.

The park, located at Bansbari Club near Shahid Gangalal Hospital, was officially handed over by Abrar H Hashmi, Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal, who served as the Chief Guest.

The handover ceremony was attended by Prem Thapa, Chairperson of Ward 3 of Kathmandu Metropolis, Annanta Bhetwal, President of the Kathmandu Lion Club, Gyanedera Malla, former captain of the Nepal National Cricket Team, and Santosh Budathoki, Chairperson of the District Coordination Committee, along with media representatives.

In his address, Ambassador Hashmi expressed his appreciation for the collaboration between the Kathmandu Metropolitan City and HRS Adventures Ltd for building the park.

He emphasized that the Pakistan-Nepal Friendship Park would symbolize the enduring bond between the two nations and showcases the strong connection between the people of Pakistan and Nepal.

The Ambassador extended his heartfelt gratitude to Kathmandu Metropolis, as well as the government and people of Nepal, for providing the Embassy with the opportunity to contribute to the development of this beautiful park.

The special guests present at the event expressed their gratitude to the Government of Pakistan for the generous gift of an “Open Air Gym” facility for the people of Nepal. They expressed hope that the park would serve as a lasting symbol of friendship and cooperation between the two countries. The Pakistan-Nepal Friendship Park, situated in the Bansbari Club, is dedicated to fostering shared aspirations and strengthening the friendship between the people of Pakistan and Nepal. It will serve as a convenient and inclusive facility for individuals of all ages and backgrounds.

Members of the civil society and local residents expressed gratitude to the Embassy and the ward for this new facility. They expressed joy and enthusiasm for establishing the “Open Air Gym,” which will benefit the health and well-being of their children and individuals of all age groups.

The inauguration of the Pakistan-Nepal Friendship Park marks a significant milestone in the bilateral relations between Pakistan and Nepal, further strengthening the ties between the two nations and promoting mutual understanding and cooperation.
